Sartre's go-to tune?

Is this what Sartre had in mind....?

  2. Sartre has theme song! You have freedom to choose youd better make the right move... I think, this is indeed what he meant. I think however that Matisyahu would want us to choose God and his Commandments as the "right move" to vanity and the ills he mentions in ones of his really great and thoughtful songs.

  3. But wait, I'm not supposed to listen to some slick Hollywood cat. I'm supposed to get to conclusions on my own, not by absorbing myself in pop culture and following the words of a musician.

But perhaps by fleeing into what's popular, I condition myself...

Or, through conditioning myself--by diving face first into the masses, into culture--I am faced with what's popular and must make my own decision whether or not to support it or not... But if it coincides too much, is that a bad thing? Does it become not my own if it's not easily relatable to JUST ME.

there are, perhaps, too many circular traps to fall into in philosophy.

where's the Jewish hipster singing about that? ha
